CMI MODEL VC-56 The World's Largest Vertical Centrifuge

The CMI Model VC Vibratory Centrifuge is available in 48”, 50” and 56” configurations and all models can be configured for refuse dewatering applications, or for highly corrosive environments.

The new CMI Model VC-50 incorporates design changes aimed at reducing maintenance costs, while increasing machine capacity. The VC-50 utilizes a unique self-supporting screen design, which takes the place of three wear parts on the 48” and 56” models. In addition, the 48” model can be converted to the 50” design.

Features of the CMI Model VC Vibratory Centrifuges include:

• Larger Feeder Hopper – A large opening eliminates the need for a feed chute and a catch in the center increases part life.
• Heavy Duty Motors – All CMI motors are modified to withstand vibrations incurred during normal continuous operation. Motors are also externally mounted for easy maintenance.

• Machine Isolation – Large, rubber isolators prevent vibrations from being transmitted to the supporting structure. CMI’s isolators are also extremely durable and require no air or continuous attention.
• Continuous Lubrication – A direct-drive gear pump in each CMI VC Model circulates oil to all internal bearings and a pressure cut-off switch detects any oil pump failure.
• Vibratory Shaft Housing – The drive assembly consists of the main working parts enclosed in a steel cast housing, which can be removed as a single unit.

• Screen Support – Due to sturdy construction and by utilizing a secondary member to support the screen, screen life is much longer than most comparable centrifuges.
• Accelerating Wear Plate – Material bring processed is accelerated up to peripheral speed before reaching the separating screen, allowing for even screen wear without premature failure found in the small end of horizontal designs.
• Easy Maintenance – All wear parts are easily accessible without requiring special lifting devices.
• Dependable – The CMI Model VC Vibratory Centrifuge requires the lowest maintenance and attention of any comparable centrifuge.
