Material Flow - EBR Screen-Scroll Centrifuge

Material fed into the machine is deflected into an acceleration chamber that packs with a permanent solids layer. It is this layer that accelerates the feed up to centrifugal speed. Solids then flow down and are retained on the screen surface, while centrifugal force slings free liquids through the screen openings. Movement of solids across the screen surface is controlled by flights, which move relative to the screen.

Solids discharged from the screen fall by gravity, through the machine's bottom opening. Liquids that have passed through the screen are collected and discharged through two effluent outlets
